The Office of the City Manager serves as the executive and administrative centre of Nakuru City, providing strategic leadership, policy direction, coordination, and oversight of city operations. The Office is responsible for ensuring effective implementation of city policies, programmes, projects, and decisions of the City Board while promoting efficient service delivery, accountability, and institutional performance.
The Office coordinates the activities of all directorates and departments, ensuring alignment with the City’s development priorities, legal framework, and strategic objectives.


The Office of the City Manager has an approved staffing establishment of 8 officers and support staff responsible for executive leadership, administration, internal audit, office management, logistical support, and day-to-day coordination of city operations.
