The Directorate of Trade, Tourism, Culture and Social Services is responsible for promoting local economic development, supporting trade and market operations, advancing tourism, preserving cultural heritage, promoting sports development, and enhancing social welfare programmes.

The Directorate plays a critical role in improving livelihoods, creating economic opportunities, strengthening social inclusion, and enhancing the quality of life within Nakuru City.

Directorate Mandate

To promote trade, tourism, culture, sports, and social development through effective policy implementation, programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery that contributes to the socio-economic growth of Nakuru City.

Directorate Structure

The Directorate Leadership and Coordination Unit comprises officers responsible for strategic planning, programme coordination, monitoring, policy implementation, and administrative oversight across the Directorate.
