Project Details
The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) supported the City through the design of the Kenyatta Avenue Non-Motorized Transport infrastructure. The project promotes people-centred urban mobility by supporting safer and more attractive environments for walking and cycling.
The infrastructure was implemented by the World Bank, while resources are currently being mobilized for development of a city-wide Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The concept for the mobility plan has already been completed, providing a foundation for improving sustainable transportation across Nakuru.
