The City of Nakuru has partnered with UN-Habitat on a range of urban development initiatives aimed at creating a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive city. The partnership supports initiatives including the Sponge City Initiative, Quality of Life Initiative, Nature-Based Solutions and Tomorrow’s Cities, contributing to improved urban planning and quality of life.
Through these initiatives, the City is strengthening approaches to climate resilience, public spaces, urban services, planning and inclusive development. The collaboration provides opportunities for technical support, innovation and capacity building while supporting Nakuru’s long-term vision for a sustainable and resilient urban environment.
