Festus Kiprotich Bor
Physical Planner (MKIP, MEIK)
Festus Bor is a Physical Planner and community development specialist based in Nakuru City. He has over six years of experience urban and regional planning, project coordination, grant writing, and community engagement. Since 2020, he has served as Urban Planner for the Nakuru City Board under the County Government of Nakuru, where he developed urban development plans, environmental and social impact assessments, city mobility plans, and resilience strategies, and managed donor-funded projects with partners such as UN-Habitat, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team. His broader project portfolio includes proposals for sustainable urban mobility, bus rapid transit, and smart waste management across Kenya, Nepal, and Ethiopia, supported by strong GIS and data analysis skills.
He holds a Master of Urban Development and Smart Infrastructure Policy from the University of Seoul (2024–2025), is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Nairobi, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Land Resource Planning and Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is a certified PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Expert Reg. No. 2001309196, a registered EIA-2556 Expert with NEMA-Reg. No. 10518.
